How To Debunk The Healy Device

John Wood, Founder of Rageheart

by John Wood

So thereā€™s this new device doing the rounds here in Psychedelic Wonderland (aka. The Sacred Valley, Peru).

It claims to offer healing via ā€œfrequenciesā€ (whatever that means šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø).

There is absolutely ZERO legitimate scientific support behind itā€¦

ā€¦and while the founder claims to be a physicist, he doesnā€™t have a physics degree and he hasnā€™t published any peer-reviewed physics papers.

If you look on the website (which I will not link to), youā€™ll see that it uses the standard woo woo technique of misrepresenting quantum physics and people like Albert Einstein to make it seem like their device is actually legit (when itā€™s absolutely not).

All in all, the website is a whole lotta big, $20 words without saying anything of substance (aka. ā€œWord saladā€).

Most of the people promoting it demonstrate a variety of cognitive biases and illogical thinkingā€¦

ā€¦and to top things off, they make a commission if you buy through their link, which means they have a financial incentive to mislead (whether unconsciously or not).

It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.

– Upton Sinclair

Finally, itā€™s a multi-level marketing companyā€¦ which, to me at least, is a huuuuge red flag šŸ¤®

To be completely bluntā€¦

The whole thing gives me the creeps šŸ˜”

The weirdest thing about is that people I trust and respect – people whoā€™ve worked with psychedelics and plant medicine for a LONG time and who’ve supposedly worked through their shit – are getting sucked into it.

I find myself wonderingā€¦

How do really smart, aware people fall for this too-good-to-be-true woo woo bullshit?

That brings me to the nervous system approach to healing.

Itā€™s not woo.

Itā€™s doesnā€™t require faith.

And no, I donā€™t need to invoke quantum physics to sell it to you.

Think about it.

The nervous system is a well-established fact of the human organism.

It exists – plain and simple.

Ditto for fight, flight or freeze.

What happens if you chase a cat?

It runs away (flight).

What about if you get between a Momma bear and its cubs?

It attacks (fight).

What about if a cheetah catches a gazelle in the savannahs of Africa?

The gazelle goes limp (freeze).

You can test every single one of these things yourselfā€¦ long before you ever purchase anything from me.

Or think about how survival responses get stuck.

Again, you donā€™t have to take my word for it.

Just look at your own life.

Have you ever been triggered, where something in the present triggered an old feeling of shame or guilt or sadness or fear or anger?

Of course you have because we ALL have.

That’s the stored survival stress from the past getting triggered.

Or take orienting.

If you want proof that orienting works, watch animals. Hell, watch yourself (or any other human being).

What happens if thereā€™s a loud noise outside your house?

You look towards the sound.

Thatā€™s defensive orienting.

You literally orient towards the potential threat, and when or if you see that itā€™s not a threat, you relax (or rather, your nervous system relaxes).

Knowing this about the nervous system, that it uses orienting to regulate its state of activation, we can make orienting a conscious behaviour, improving regulation and (ultimately) relaxation.

Do you see what I mean?

The nervous system approach to healing isnā€™t like the latest woo woo bullshit.

You can see the evidence of orienting and fight-or-flight all around you.

Or take the idea of following your impulse and watch an animal.

Notice how they are just themselves.

Theyā€™re not journaling, analyzing and thinking about what to do.

They donā€™t people please or apologise for who they are.

If theyā€™re not hungry, they simply walk away from their food without making excuses.

They know exactly how to follow their impulses.

Well, we can use that basic observation to awaken the same instinct inside ourselves. Then instead of feeling lost, confused or helpless, we realise that our body is always guiding us with impulsesā€¦ if only we will listen.

With all of that in mind, I will happily say:

Donā€™t just trust me.

Donā€™t take my word for it.

Donā€™t assume that everything I say is true because I present myself as an expert.

Think about it.

Question the hell out of it.

See if it stands up to the cold, hard light of TRUTH.

Then (and ONLY then) make your decision about whether to dive deeper down this nervous system rabbit hole.

Because hey, the world doesnā€™t need more naive, gullible people who believe whatever marketers tell them.

It needs people who are grounded in truth, who know how to think critically and who trust in themselves above all else.

Now…

If this makes sense to you and you want to dive deeper down the nervous system rabbit holeā€¦

ā€¦join me for the FIRST ā€œRageheart Rumbleā€ this coming Saturday (July 29) at 1pm PDT / 4pm EDT / 6am AEST (the following day) šŸŽ„

Itā€™ll run for 90 mins total.

60 mins practice time and up to 30 mins Q&A at the end.

In this monthā€™s Rumble, youā€™ll discover:

  • how to instantly calm down your inner critic with the Rageheart nervous system tools
  • 7 ways to soothe and settle your nervous system during times of stress and discomfort (5 external approaches and 2 little-known internal techniques)
  • how to use movement to drive awareness out of the head and into the body (this is one of my favourite things about the nervous system approach)

Itā€™s a chance for Rageheart Academy members to practice and integrate what theyā€™re learning in the academy (but in a new environment with other people)ā€¦

ā€¦and itā€™s an opportunity for people who havenā€™t yet signed up to the academy to get a taste of what itā€™s like. To test out the techniques without committing to the academy. To dip their toe into the water and see how the nervous system approach can calm down their inner critic.

Interested?

Remember, the FIRST ā€œRageheart Rumbleā€ is this coming Saturday (July 29) at 1pm PDT / 4pm EDT / 6am AEST (the following day).

Since you’re not a member of The Rageheart Academy, you need to pay a minimum of $1 to sign up for this month’s Rumble.

Reserve your spot at the link below (note: this link goes directly to the checkout… not a sales page):
